Mahendra Singh Dhoni Virender Sehwag out as India bat

Sept 24 : Mahendra Singh Dhoni called correctly and chose to bat in what should be an epic final between India and Pakistan at the Wanderers. The conditions were bright and sunny and the pitch looked to be in favour of the batsmen.

India's concern was the withdrawal of Virender Sehwag who hadn't recovered from a groin injury. Yusuf Pathan, the slow-bowling allrounder and brother of Irfan Pathan, made his debut. Pakistan too made a change, bringing in seamer Yasir Arafat for Fawad Alam.
